OS Deployment without SCCM Client
Good Morning, I was wondering if it is possible to schedule a ZTI of Win7 via SCCM without there being an SCCM client on the target PC? We are running Landesk right now and i don’t want to put the SCCM client on the PC as it may cause too many issues. Thanks

well if you can reboot the pc remotely and make sure that pxe boot is enabled and is the first device then you could image it using zti even if there's no SCCM client on it at present, however, the remote boot part is up to you to figure out, the task sequence will need to be mandatory for this computer so create a deployment collection, add the computer (via computer association or other method) to that collection, and advertise a mandatory ts to that collection, should work, i assume you don't mind having the client installed , it will get installed in the Setup windows and configmgr step. I would create a scheduled task on the PC that installed SCCM client and then have a sccm collection predefined with a mandatory task sequence. I don’t believe advertising mandatory task sequences to unknown computers is a very good idea, since if some users have PXE boot first on their PC/Laptop it will rebuild automatically.
