OST Problem
Hi, I have a strange problem with OSD. The task I try to advertise installs windows, and then installs some other packages, and it usually works. Lately, many computers fail to complete the task sequence. In the smsts.log file, I see that the computer located one of the packages (different package every time) in all of the DP's, but failed to connect to the DP and download it. It happens with different computers and different packages, and the solution I use is to re-create the package - after that everything works. Why does it happen and what can I do about it? Thanks, Ifat

I'm the only one in our company working with SCCM, so this is not the issue. I can't copy the log file here, but the main lines are: Adding \\Server1\smspkege$\XXX0000A to Remote DP list. Adding \\Server2\smspkege$\XXX0000A to Remote DP list. Adding \\Server3\smspkege$\XXX0000A to Remote DP list. Adding \\Server4\smspkege$\XXX0000A to Remote DP list. Adding \\Server5\smspkege$\XXX0000A to Remote DP list. Found ...7 Dp's in remote location... Skipping remote content locations. Content location request for XXX0000A faile. (Code 0x80040102) Failed to resolve selected task sequence dependencies. Code(0x80040102) The error code means: No content location returned for the given package

I see that they only find Remote DPs. Are you using Protected DPs? Are the Boundaries setup correctly? Does the packages exists on the Local DP?My Blog: http://www.petervanderwoude.nl/

I don't use protected Dps. The boundaries may not be correct because of some changes recently made in the DHCP, and I didn't set them yet to the new IPs. The package exists on all of the DPs in the list.
