OSD task sequence advertisement not received
hi, select your collection, right click on it, and select "update collection membership". After that, refresh the content of your collection. Finally, look at each computers present in your collection and make sure that their "obsolete" attribute has the "no" value. If records are obsolete, remove these records and add the non obsolete records corresponding to your computers. regards, Régis

In a test lab, I advertised a TS to a collection of PCs yesterday and it completed successfully as expected. Today, with a slight change in the TS I wanted to re-run the task sequence. I created a new collection with the same members of PCs then created a new advertisement for the modified TS to the new collection with a new mendatory assignment time. I checked the properties of the collection and the members of the collection the new advertisement appears. However, in the advertisement status there shows no client received the advertisement and hence the TS does not run at the assigned time. What is/are wrong? All help appreciated.

Hello - Did you create a new task sequence or just modified the existing one? Can you check the policyagent.log on the client pcs to check the client is received the new policy? Also, check execmgr.logAnoop C Nair

I modified existing one and wanted to re-run it. From the console, the members of the collection show the advertisment, but advertisement status shows 0 (zero) received advertisement. I am suspecting since these PCs were deployed with a new image within 24 hours with the computer name unchanged, they may have got new GUIDs. So the members of the collection may not be the ones being active. I guess the database may not have been synchronised to reflect these PCs being obsolete. Even though I ticked the option to exclude obsolete clients when adding clients to the collection they may in fact be obsolete. I am not sure what happens if a computer being re-imaged with name unchanged. Will SCCM generate a new record for it?
