Hi experts, I'm very new to sccm I 'm using sccm 2007 sp1 on win 2003 server. I'm trying to capture the OS image through reference computer. I installed sysprep on my reference computer and inserted captured media file to this machine. It's started image processing but after some while it shows message likeunable read task sequence configuration disk. Can anyone tell me what could be the cause and give me some solution to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.

usually you see that message when Configuration Manager cannot read the disk, are you booting from the capture media ? can you post the smsts.log file ? is the c:\ drive readable on your reference computer Step by Step ConfigMgr 2007 Guides | Step by Step ConfigMgr 2012 Guides | I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

Hi Brady, Yes, I did the booting from capture media and c:\ drive is readable on my reference computer. SMSTS.log file shows old information.  

Hi If its possible then rather than booting from capture media, you can simply run capture media wizard & then check your smsts.log file for more details. If the configuration manager client is not installed then you'll find smsts.log file %temp%\SMSTSLOG You need to provide additional details like UNC path & user details so that image file can be captured.
