OSD app install in deployment TS won't install as the System account
I have an app that won't install via the System account. I'm trying to install this app in an OSD deployment TS. I need to use a different acount. A local admin account. Any suggestions on the best way to install this app? THANKS.

With R2/R3, you can use a command-line task as it provides a run with alternate crednetials option. Have you manually verified that the problem is indeed a SYSTEM account issue by running the installation outside of ConfigMgr using the SYSTEM account?Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys

In the app you want to install, choose the Program, go to environment properties, and select Program can run: Whether or not a user is logged on. And choose also Run mode: Run with administrative rights. I do that with all my packages, that must be installed during OSD deployment TS.My ConfigMgr blog: http://henkhoogendoorn.blogspot.com Follow me on Twitter: @henkhoogendoorn

And choose also Run mode: Run with administrative rights. I do that with all my packages, that must be installed during OSD deployment TS. That will result in the system account being used for installing the software, but the thread starter mentioned: "I have an app that won't install via the System account". So I second Jason's statement.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
