OSD Image Building
I read where it was recommended to include the Config manager into the captured WIM of the OS. Doing this would allow you to push a new task sequence to a PC, and it woudl keep the same GUID, and thus not be obsolete. I am trying to set up collections for software. Ideally, I would like to redo a PC via task sequence from within Windows, and then once it's done, pick up all the applications I have it in collections for. I haven't been able to do it. It keeps saying the old client is obsolete when I reimage from Windows.

Here's a good post from Kenny that I think addresses your issue: http://scug.be/blogs/sccm/archive/2008/10/27/sccm-in-place-upgrade-refresh-scenario-issues-solutions-with-tranguid-exe-part-1.aspx. Note that it has nothing specifically to do with putting the agent in your image.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys
