Hi Niall, I deploy Win7 image to a Hyper-V virtual machine. I follow this blog on inserting Hyper-V Integration Drivers to OSD package http://weblogs.asp.net/owscott/archive/2009/06/28/creating-winpe-with-integration-services-for-hyper-v.aspx Do you have any specific guidelines that i can use to do OSD on a Hyper-V environment? Niall, For Hyper-V environment, is inserting drivers to OSD image required? I read some said it is not required. However, i see error during OSD deployment. Hence, I insert Hyper-V integration drivers to OSD package. Failed to find a suitable device driver for device 'ACPI\PNP0C04\4&215D0F95&0'. Hi Niall, I have checked out your blog for OSD deployment for ConfigMgr 2007. In the blog X64 Windows PE boot environment for SCCM 6.1.7100.0 en-US http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/667-deploy-windows-7/ You didn't mention how to create the WinPE image. How you make it work in your Hyper-V environment? Should I follow this for creating a Windows PE boot environment for SCCM and insert the Hyper-V Integration Services? http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2349-guide-adding-drivers-to-a-custom-winpe-30/Kevin Better & Better! http://kevin.RefineNetworks.com

i dont inject any drivers into my hyperv boot images at all, i just set the network card to LEGACY on the virtual machine and it works perfectly, have you tried that ? Step by Step ConfigMgr 2007 Guides Step by Step ConfigMgr 2012 Guides I'm on Twitter > ncbrady

Hi Niall, Yes, I am using legacy network card for my virtual machine. I am using the default x86 OSD image for OSD deployment and hit the error above BEFORE I inject the Hyper-V drivers to x86 OSD image. Should I create a custom WinPE like the way you describe at http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2349-guide-adding-drivers-to-a-custom-winpe-30/ Thanks for helping. you don't need to integrate the hyperV drivers unless you are NOT planning on using the LEGACY network adaptor. You are using the Legacy network adaptor so don't add any drivers for it !! have you tried without injecting any hyperV drivers ? Hi, I found out the root cause. It is due to product key, I specified a Windows 7 MAK key. I received this error message: setuperr.log ======= 2012-02-05 13:01:20, Error [0x060551] IBS Callback_Productkey_Validate: EditionID for product key was NULL. 2012-02-05 13:01:20, Error [0x060554] IBS Callback_Productkey_Validate: An error occurred writing the product key data to the blackboard. 2012-02-05 13:01:20, Error [0x06011a] IBS Callback_Productkey_Validate_Unattend:Product key did not successfully validate.[gle=0x00000490] 2012-02-05 13:01:20, Error [0x0603c7] IBS Callback_Productkey_Validate_Unattend:Did not pass validation; halting Setup.[gle=0x00000490] 2012-02-05 13:01:20, Error [0x060120] IBS Callback_Productkey_Validate_Unattend: An error occurred preventing setup from being able to validate the product key; hr = 0x80300006[gle=0x00000490] After removed the product key, I got it working without injecting Hyper-V driver into it. Thanks. A quick question: I am going to capture a Windows 7 image which have additioinal application installed. Can I use syntetic drivers? Kevin Better & Better! http://kevin.RefineNetworks.com
