OSD - Failed to create media (0x80070002)
It is a WinPE bootable (offline mode) media and it is 235MB. I was able to create a bootable media (CD/DVD set) on the SCCM server but not able to do so on my Windows XP SP3 (both USB-8GB or CD/DVD). I have a 30GB free space on my C Drive. I did the followings: a. Clean the temp files under profiles and windows\temp b. Reinstalled SCCM Admin Console c. Diskpart USB disk and made bootable d. Checked all the Share and Security permissions (computer account and Network Access Account found on both places) It used to work before but after i created a test Branch DP, it is giving me this issue. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

yes i did checked the 'Manage auditing and security log' settings but still getting the same error message as below. Only on my Windows XP SP3 machine while creating a bootable Task Sequence media (USB or ISO image). "Errors Error creating media. Error message is : The system cannot find the file specified.. Please refer to CreateTsMedia.log to get details." I was able to use DISM to update the boot image. Now everything is working fine as before except unable to create a Task Sequence Media (iso image or usb disk) from Windows XP SP3 machine. It is working on SCCM 2007 Server though. Thank you.

Error code 2 = "The system cannot find the file specified." When creating boot media, this is usually indicative of driver files no longer available -- drivers are injected from their original source location, not the package source files. Thus if you've deleted these original source files or re-arranged them, you will no longer be able to update your boot media.Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com | Twitter @JasonSandys

I think you can to go to boot images node in SCCM console and create a new boot image. You will need to point the wizard to where in the WAIK installation on your site winpe.wim file is located.

how big is the overall media going to be ? (image plus all applications), if it's over 6.9GB in size that would explain it as that's what you have free space on c:\, so is it ? Step by Step ConfigMgr 2007 Guides | Step by Step ConfigMgr 2012 Guides | I'm on Twitter > ncbrady
