OOB and Intel w/o vPro
Good Afternoon, I have 2 computers: Intel Core i7 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Intel_Corei7_2009.svg Intel Core 2 Duo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Intel_Core2_Duo2009.svg I've read that OOB works with Intel vPro and neither of these machines have this explicitly stated on the sitcker. Can they be managed by SCCM? Regards, Karl

A PC with particular CPU does not mean that it support vPro. The NICs, Chipset and CPU must all support it, in order for it to be supported. http://www.enhansoft.com/

Thank you Garth, How would I go about checking if these PCs support OOB? Is the info already in SCCM or will I need to check with the vendor or their spec sheets?

If the Machines has not got the Vpro sticker you can assume they are not supported. You could enable the role and then create the the following collections which should tell you all the systems that can work with OOB, next client scan. Detected: select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System WHERE AMTStatus=1 All Provisioned: select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System WHERE AMTStatus=3 All Unprovisioned: select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System WHERE AMTStatus=2 Not Detected: select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System WHERE AMTStatus=Null Not Supported: select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System WHERE AMTStatus=0Regards, Blair Muller Check Out My Blog: http://blair-muller.blogspot.com/

Thank you all for the help. I've been learning a lot from this exercise. I still have some questions, but I'm going to start a new thread to address those. I ended up making a query with for the membership rules to build those collections. Regards.
