Number of times a document is downloaded

Hi

I have a document library that contain ebooks. Now I want to know how many times each ebook(pdf) has been downloaded. How I can find out this?

You'd need to enable audit tracking. That isn't captured by default.

You can also parse SharePoint's IIS logs.

Thanx Alex,

Audit log show statistics of both viewed and downloaded documents in a same column in excel. But I want to know statistics of downloaded documents separately. How I can have it?
