Hi, Can someone help me in monitoring the applicaion log file using MOM 2005. I have followed all the steps mentioned in the link below. http://www.winserverkb.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/mom/7094/Monitoring-an-application-s-log-file-with-MOM-2005 the new rules have been successfully loaded on the server, but agent on the server is not able to monitor the log file which I have created. Can someone please advise on this.

It would depend on what your file is like. Only simple log file monitoring is enabled. A simple log file: Each line has the same # of fields Each line ends with a carriage return/linefeed Every line is an equivalent of other lines - that is, log entries do not span lines The file is not circular - does not reset to empty and start rewriting at the beginning Microsoft Corporation
