Not able to load Hyper-V VM with Windows 7 Task Sequence
I have a custom Windows 7 WIM I am trying to deploy via an SCCM 2007 OSD Task Sequence. At this point in the testing, the TS does nothing more than deploy the WIM. I am using x64 Boot Media to boot the test VM and connect to the SCCM server. I tried advertising the TS to the All Unknown Systems collection but when I boot the VM and try to retrieve policy from the SCCM server, it eventually fails with 0x80072EE7. I can open a command prompt and I have verified that the test VM is getting a valid IP address on my network. From the command prompt, I am able to ping the SCCM server. I have also tried creating a Computer Association for the test VM and creating a second advertisement that contains the computer association but the same thing happens.

That error translates to ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED; have you tried pinging the server and FQDN?Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

K...figured it out. I was able to ping by NetBIOS name but not DNS name. Then discovered the my DHCP server was giving out the wrong DNS server. TS is working now.
