Hello Jonathan,Firstly, please make sure the SMTP Server('webmail.XXXX.COM') is working properly. Can you log in the SMTP server on the SCE server with a WEB console? Then, check if any firewall blocking the communication between the SCE Server and the SMTP server. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT

I was able to browse to our mail server and login from the server. There are no firewall issues that I am able to find as we use the same server for other notifications from other applications like our eTrust software.

Hello Jonathan,
Please double check the required items on Daily Health Report page:
The following settings must be configured when enabling the report:
Recipient Address This is the email address that the report will be sent to. To send the report to multiple recipients, set up an e-mail distribution list containing the desired recipients and use that distribution list as the recipient.
SMTP Server This is the fully-qualified domain name of the SMTP server that will be used to send the email.
Port This is the port number that is used by the SMTP server (default is 25).
Authentication Mode Specifies whether to use Anonymous or Windows Integrated authentication when connecting to the SMTP server.
Besides, please doulbe check the SMTP server and make sure it works to send/receive emails and the Recipient account is also working well.
If you are using Microsoft Exchange server as the SMTP server, I suggest you check the SMTP log or use messaging trancking for tracing detailed information. Please refer to KB821910 to enable and check detailed SMTP log:

I have tried the information using both anonymous / and Windows Integrated with no results. We are using Exchange 2007 does this make a difference? Can you advise where the SMTP log is located for Exchange 2007?

Hello Jonathan,
It is not a problem that you are using Exchange Server 2007. To make sure it works properly, please use the following TechNet Forums:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/category/exchangeserver/
After that, re-run the Feature Configuration Wizard and re-enter the required items on Daily Health Report page even the old information was correct.
Hope it helps,Yog Li - MSFT
