Not able to deploy SSRS report.
I have SQL Server 2008 R2. I have created simple demo report. While deploying it fails throwing the error message - "Could not connect to the report server http://localhost/ReportServer. Verify that the TargetServerURL is valid and that you have the correct persmissions to connect to the report server." I would appreciate your help guys. :)

Hi, I checked in "SQL Server Configuration Manager". SSRS is running. But when I try to open the URL "http://localhost/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx". I am not able to view expected reports. Error message is "The report server cannot open a connection to the report server database. A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing. (rsReportServerDatabaseUnavailable) "

The it seems SSRS isn't finally setup, please open "Configuration Manager for Reporting Services" and step trough all configuration setttings, especiall for the ReportServer database.Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

or reinstall the reporting services. If the databases don't exists, then it's quite enough to create new one with the SSRS Configuration Manager.Olaf Helper * cogito ergo sum * errare humanum est * quote erat demonstrandum * Wenn ich denke, ist das ein Fehler und das beweise ich tglich Blog Xing

Hi BI_Kid, Please refer to "The report server cannot open a connection to the report server database. A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing. (rsReportServerDatabaseUnavailable)." section in the article below to troubleshoot this issue: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156468.aspx Ohterwise, SQL Server Reporting Services uses role-based authorization and an authentication subsystem to determine who can perform operations and access items on a Report Server. For more information, please see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156014(v=sql.105).aspx Regards, Bin Long TechNet Community Support
