I have about 10 Agents working and communicating fine with my RMS but i installed a new Agent manually and its in "Not Monitored" State. Certificates are Fine....no duplicate SPN Issue..... on Agent server, I am getting Event IDs of 20070 and 21016.... and RMS has Event ID 20000 (A device which is not part of this management group has attempted to access this Health Service. ) Someone please help!!

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Regarding Event ID: 20070, please check the Primary DNS Suffix: 1) Run ipconfig /all 2) In the output, “Primary Dns Suffix” value should match the Domain name; if not, please change the value “Primary DNS suffix of this computer” to the Domain name in System Properties. 2. Please try the methods in the following posts: Fixing troubled agents http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2009/10/01/fixing-troubled-agents.aspx Getting headaches trying to figure out why you are seeing the 'Not Monitored' state for Management Servers or Agents? http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2008/03/10/getting-headaches-trying-to-figure-out-why-you-are-seeing-the-not-monitored-state-for-management-servers-or-agents.aspx 3. Ensure the required ports are opened: OpsMgr 2007: Port requirements for SCOM agents in a DMZ http://blogs.technet.com/b/operationsmgr/archive/2009/02/17/opsmgr-2007-port-requirements-for-scom-agents-in-a-dmz.aspx Hope this helps. I GOT IT. It was nothing but just restarting the system center configuration services on RMS. Actually, Configuration XML was so old that it was not getting updates for the new agents. so I simply stopped it and restarted it. All works fine!!
