Non System partition Disk monitoring & unix/linux cluster monitoring via SCOM 2012 R2

Hi All,

Could you help me with the following:

Issue 1 : Unable to monitor ,non-partition disk [volumes attached from external storage] as logical disks to Red Hat boxes via SCOM 2012 R2. There is no issue in monitoring the system partitions like /tmp, /boot ,/usr etc. However the challenge is to monitor non-system partition logical disks.

For example, monitoring of %free space on the non-system partitions which are attached from external storage is not occurring and to make this possible ,what is the source that needs to be targeted , or is there any MP or can this be achieved via custom rules or monitors ?

Issue 2: Cluster monitoring for unix/linux system via SCOM 2012 R2.Is there any customizations or MP available?

Thank you ..

Hi,

I searched the internet and found below three links including MPs for unix/linux, you may go through them to check whether they can be useful for you:
