No update to 10240

Hi Guys,
Since the new update has been released (almost) everybody updated to the new 10240 build. Unfortunately I'm still not able to get the update. Windows Update says "No updates available" while I'm still on 10166. I've checked in regedit which version I'm on, and it's TH1.

The things I've tried:
- Lots of reboots
- Login with a Microsoft Insider account
- Verified my account / laptop to send a code to another Hotmail account
- Checkt for updates
- Switch to a local account and back to a Microsoft account
- Did a reset (everything deleted)
- Switches between slow and fast ring
- Be sure the license is accepted (it is)
- Installed Insider Hub
- Reset the update services
- Disabled Windows Defender
- Login with my password instead of my pin code

None of these things gave me any solution. I've updated to download the .iso of (I think) 10162 from the Microsoft webpage back then, mounted the iso and upgraded my Windows 8.1 version to Windows 10. I've no idea what I can try and what is causing this problem. Now I'm on a fresh installation again (a reset) and still nothing (no software installed yet).

What can I do to get the update?

I would do 2 things

1-delete off the softwaredistribution folder

To clear the contents of the softwaredistribution folder, enter the below commands in an elevated command prompt.

net stop wuauserv
rmdir %windir%\softwaredistribution  /s /q
net start wuauserv
exit

2- run a system file check to find the state of the OS

Please run a system file check (SFC) & DISM (if necessary) if you are on win 8 or higher
All instructions are in our Wiki article below...

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately I've already did all these things. Just to be sure I did a reset (delete all files and programs), did the net stop wuaserv (and the other code off course) and still no luck. SFC says that there are no problems and the same for DISM.

myNameHere12,

I do not have a solution for you.

But, I am very curious to know......

You wrote :  I've checked in regedit which version I'm on, and it's TH1.

To my non-expert knowledge, build 10240 is the FIRST build with" TH1 "designation.
All other previous builds were with "impressive" designation.
So, are you  sure of that ?

Do you still have a watermark at bottom right corner ?
Watermark has been removed from build 10240.

Thank you.

The watermark was still there. What I meant with that is that BranchName is TH1 in regedit (did not change that one). The problem is fixed know, I've installed 8.1 and did a upgrade again.

May I ask what you did to the registry? You said updating my registry as shown above, triggered the update. I did not know my system stopped doing updates. I am on build 10158,. may be too late ass the release date is just 8 days away. I read that they have stopped the insider program.
