No longer have access to SCCM Queries
We have a group of users which are in an AD Group called SCCMHELPDESK. The SCCMHELPDESK group has Read and Create permissions to the Queries node within the SCCM Manager Console. Until recently, all users in the group could read all queries. Recently, users in this group started receiving permissions errors when clicking on any query within the Queries node. They can still access Query-based Collections, they just can not run Queries. This behavior began approximately 3 weeks ago. We have removed this group and re-added the group, rebooted the SCCM site server and database server (two seperate servers), removed the SCCM console from their PC's and re-added the SCCM console to the PC's. Still receiving permissions issues. Any ideas? Thanks! --Joe.

Hey Joe, What happens (for testing only) if you grant permissions on a specific query Will that also generate for helpdesk?Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

Thanks for the quick response...tried giving the group Read permissions to the All Client Systems query and they still have no permissions.--Joe.

Still no luck. We created a brand-new AD group, added a test user into the group, assigned permissions to Read the Queries node to the group, logged on and launched the console as the user, and still can not view the queries. Some queries come back with no results, while others come back with a message indicating they do not have the appropriate permissions.--Joe.
