No images showing on New Sharepoint install
Hi! I am running win2008 and IIS7. I just installed WSS 3.0. It was an easy install...maybe too easy, because none of my sharepoint pages are showing any images! (I get that ubiquitous red X). I've messed around with IIS7 permissions. No luck. I have other sites on this IIS instance that do allow images, so it's not IIS. If I open content view in IIS and browse an image, I get a 403 error. I've checked File System permissions and IIS permissions. Authentication I have Anon, ASP.NET impersonation, and Win Authentications enabled. I'm lost now... Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! :-) Rich

Do you see the images on the server at: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\template\images In IIS do you see a virtual directory in the application called "_layouts" and under that a virtual directory named "images"? Mike Smith TechTrainingNotes.blogspot.com

Thanks...but I already have checked permissions. In fact, just to be sure I gave "Everyone" full access to that folder tree. Fomr my original post: >>I've checked File System permissions and IIS permissions. Authentication I have Anon, ASP.NET impersonation, and Win Authentications enabled. Maybe I forgot something? Is there something I need to set in IIS to enable static content like .GIF files? Thanks!Rich
