New Scheduled Maintenance Mode tool
I'm impressed with the new Schedule Maintenance Mode GUI tool included in the latest resource kit --> http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2011/06/03/system-center-operations-manager-2007-r2-admin-reskit-released.aspx I implemented this in my SCOM non-PROD environment and it works fine when I select around 6 objects, but It seems when I add any more than 6 objects I get this error: Error: System.FormatException: Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxx-xxx.........) at System.Guid..Ctor(String g) at ScheduleMaintenanceMode.FrmNewJob.frmNewJob_Load(Object sender,EventArgs e) Anyone see this error?

Hi Mike The "Support numbers" I have are: · Up to 20 jobs per management group · Up to 10 items (computer, group, other class) in a job. If you would like to schedule 1000 agents you should place them in a group. Does this happen with all objects? E.g. is it just windows computer objects or also SQL databases? Is it possible for you to create a group of objects and see if you still get the error. I'm going to install the RTM version on my test lab in a moment to see if I can replicate. Hi Mike OK - I don't see your problem immediately. But after I save a job and then try and reopen I do get your error. What I notice is that the schedule is then not set. If I reset the schedule and save again then it seems to work. I have also seen this when I modify a job schedule and then go back to the job itself and try to modify the job. Could you confirm if this is the behaviour you are seeing or can you just not even save a job in the first place Cheers Graham View OpsMgr tips and tricks at http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/

Graham, Exactly....I can save the job without errors, however when I attempt to modify the job, I see the error. At this point I am unable to select an existing Schedule. It will let me re-create a schedule and save. Then when I attempt to modify the job I see no error. However there are only 6 objects selected insteady of the 7+ object I orginally configured. If attempt to add any more than 6 objects, it will again display error and will only put the 6 objects in MMode.

This happens with Web-sites and applying to "Celected objects only" Actually I'd prefer to be able to put a group in MMode, but I can't figure out how to do that. It appears the GUI allows you to select all objects from a group, but not select the group itself.

Hi Mike Yes - 6 works ... 7 doesn't. I'll escalate off to Rob. Cheers GrahamView OpsMgr tips and tricks at http://systemcentersolutions.wordpress.com/
