Network Maxed Out from DP broadcast

Recently our network maxed out and it was coming from what seems to be a broadcast from one of our distribution points. Can someone help me find where the log would be to see what triggered it? We are running Windows Server 2012 R2 with System Manager 2012 R2 and no wake on LAN configured.

Cheers

Johnny

Hi,

Are you running anything else on that DP server? there is nothing in a DP that would do a broadcast that is related to Configuration Manager.

Thanks for the reply. It is only set up as a DP, there is no other systems running on it.

What make you think that you DP is broadcasting?

What exactly is it broadcasting?

A member of our network team said that a broadcast packet was flooding our network and it was originating from the IP address of that DP.

Again, exactly what type of broadcast was it doing? ARP, WOL, Name resolution, etc.??
