Network Adapter Reliability Report
I'm monitoring a critical Windows Server and would like to collect statistics on the network adapter reliability. I know that the health service watcher agent is used to monitor the state of the agent and can also be used to determine if the system is up or down. Can this information be used to generate a report on the network adapter reliability? I know there isn't a built-in report for this purpose so if need be, I can create a custom report for this.

Hello Mart, To monitor the network adapter, I would suggst that you can start from these articles: How to enable Network Adapter State monitor in Operations Manager 2007 http://blopon.blogspot.com/2007/05/how-to-enable-network-adapter-state.html How to collect performance data from a script. Example: Network adapter utilization http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2011/03/02/how-to-collect-performance-data-from-a-script-example-network-adapter-utilization.aspx Thanks, Yog Li TechNet Community Support

Thanks, Yog. But since the health service watcher agent is already being used as a basis for checking the health of the agent, can we use the data generated to come up with a reliability report?
