Need to monitor a external URL which has user credentials.
Hey Team, We need to monitor an external site whci has a url and it is https:\\url...... upon clicking the url IE open and asks for username and password. not sure where to give the credentials while creating the monitor. i looked around in the web application editior \ configure setting \Select authentication settings. the username belongs to the external site and nothing to do with my NTLM. Hi Is this what you are looking for? http://sharepointnotes.wordpress.com/2008/03/17/web-application-monitoring-with-system-center-operations-manager/ Although that example does use NTLM, you can choose others on the Run As Account option - "In the Select Authentication Settings select the same Authentication Methodas is being used by the Web Application you’re monitoring."
