Need to force session timeout when outside the firewall but not when inside
I need to be able to force an idle session timeout when a user logs into Sharepoint from a session outside of the firewall, but not when they log into the company network which is inside the firewall. This is a public facing Sharepoint 2010 web site. Is this possible, and if so, how? All we have found thus far is dealing with web.config plus central admin, and appears to be an all or nothing scenario Thanks.

Hi, Thanks to share your post. For the issue, my suggestion is to look into your firewall document. There should be some configuration information for you to reference. And you may create a static collection ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings to set the session.timeout in the web.config. And a good article for you: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms242875(v=VS.80).aspx Hope this could help you! Leo
