Need to change IP address of SharePoint box

In a few months we will be moving to a new building. While our server names will remain the same the underling IP addresses will change (I am told).  Currently our SharePoint Foundation Servers (wss3, SharePoint 2010) use static IP addresses like 172.x.y.x but Im not sure which octets will change as a result of the move.

Does SharePoint store the initial IP addresses internally in any table or somesuch so that changing the IP address could cause an issue with the server?

TIA,

No, SharePoint doesn't care about the IP. It just needs to be able to resolve other servers and SQL in the farm, so you just need to pay attention to DNS. You'll also need to (likely) change the DNS A records for your Web Applications, as well, so your users can access the site(s).

Only thing you may want to check is the hosts file of each SharePoint server. If you've made any static entries to say resolve Web App to n.n.n.n, then you'll want to modify that.
