Need help with sccm 2012 reporting

I am installing SCCM 2012 and I can't get the reporting working.  Here is what I have done and what I have.

I am using SQL 2008R2 SP1 CU 6 and have SSRS installed.  On the SCCM 2012 I have the SQL box as a Site system server and have put the Reporting services point roll on it.

I am getting errors under Component Status that say the sms_srs_Reporting_Point needs to be started but when I go and look for it in services it is not there and when I look at the reporting site the folder is not there and I know it is because of that service.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the sql reporting.

I really need help it this thanks.

Did SSRS install without errors. Launch the SQL Reporting Services Configuration Manager and ensure that all is OK. Are you able to add the Reporting Services Point with no error (on SQL server but from ConfigMgr console)?

sql reporting installed with no errors.  The Reporting services point goes on SCCM 2012 and no it does not install with not errors.  Logs say it installed.

I'm sorry but this is not clear for me. How many servers? If you have a separate SQL server you must add the Reporting Services Point to this, not the ConfigMgr server.

The Reporting services point goes on SCCM 2012 and no it does not install with not errors.

Are you going to share the errors?

Sorry you are right I added that roll to the SQL server but the service is not install on the SCCM server.  The way the old SCCM 2007 server is setup is that the SQL server is set as a site server and the Reporting services point service roll is installed and the SMS_srs_reporting_service is installed on the SCCM 2007 box.

On the new sccm 2012 I have the SQL as a site server and have the Reporting services point roll connected to that server but the actual service will not install on the SCCM server.

Does this make it more clear?

Please let me know if you need anymore.

Yes. That's clear. You should have SSRS installed on your SQL server. Then, in ConfigMgr console, select the SQL server and choose to add the Reporting Services Point to it.

and no it does not install with not errors

What error do you see when you do this? Post a screenshot if neccesary.

That's not what I mean. Remove the Reporting Services Point role and re-add it to the SQL server. When you do that can you complete the wizard without errors?

Let's worry about the component status afterwards

Sorry but I am not sure how to do that.  I have the SQL in the site configuration under Servers and site system roles.  I right click the SQL server and add site system roles.  That is where I add the Reporting Point.  If I uninstall it from there how do I install it on the SQL box.

I am not questioning what you know but,  The old sccm 2007 server is setup the same way and it is working fine.  Is there a change in the way sccm 2007 does reporting compared to the way sccm 2012 does it?
