I am new to SMS 2003. As per my client request I am deploying Ms office 2007 sp3 to the client machines. When I use a package to install the program it reaches the client machines once the installation starts it brings the pop up message to close all the ms office applications. If the user denies then the installation fails. I agree MS office is one of the most important application to use in the daily activity. 

Is there any better way to install the MS product updates using SMS. 

Is there any option to send the package to the user machines and save it locally from SMS?

Im cleaning up old posts, did you figure this out yet? IF so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.
