Need Usage Data From Sharepoint
Hello,
We have created a new document library and have various documents in it. I'm looking for information on how many
times each of the those documents have been accessed (not modified) by each user on a per day basis. I basically would like to know how many times each doc is being read. Is there any way I can get this data? I’m using
SharePoint 2007.
Thanks,Anuma Chinthapalli / http://www.GGKTech.com

You cannot do this out of the box. However, you can use some third party tools.
Refer to the one from CodePlex

Hi Anuma,
You can enable audit logs in your site collection. Check this link
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/configure-audit-settings-for-a-site-collection-HA010099726.aspx?CTT=3 to do the same..
Or you can access the usage statistics by SharePoint object Model. Check this link
