Hi. There is no way of determine the full database server name, DB instance and database name this using the Central Admin page. You will have to use the registry value to determine which config database SharePoint uses . (See "KSDN"s response if only the database name is enough) Of course, you could develop a feature that will expose this within the Central Admin pages. Hope this helps.
