MySites - Features that can be turned off

All,

What features can easily be turned off in regard to a SharePoint 2013 MySite? Is what is under the Permissions for the Web Application the only items?

Also - in a profile how can user fields in a MySite be automatically set to a read only state?

Hi

To disable /enable users or groups to use personal and social features:
  1. In Central Administration, in the Application Management section, click Manage service applications.

  2. In the list of service applications, click User Profile Service Application.

  3. On the Manage Profile Service: User Profile Service Application page, in the People group, click Manage User Permissions.

  4. On the Permissions for User Profile Service Application page, type or select a user or group account, and then click Add.

  5. In the Permissions for box, uncheck/check the feature or features that you want the user or group to be able to use, and then click OK.

To set the user properties to read only so that when a user click "Edit my Profile" they cannot edit the fields, go into user property and set it to "Do not allow users to edit values for this property".

Hope it helpful.

Best Regards
