MySite navigation changing when navigating to Onedrive for Business

When Im on the MySite and navigate to apps, and than click Documents (or use the shortcut OneDrive at the top right) I end up at the OneDrive For Business. The thing is that my Quicklaunch changes and shows only 2 items now Documents and Documents Im following. The original Quicklaunch as how it is configured on the MySite is gone.

Is it possible to change it back (for all MySites at once, because this is very confusing for users)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Red,

Could you share a screenshot about your issue.

If you mean the Quick Launch items on "Documents"(i.e. click OneDrive link at the top right) are different  from Quick Launch items on other sites, it's by design, we can see that they are different sites and site collections via checking the URL from IE browser address bar, different sites will have different quick launch items.

You may understand the above concepts, then you can check how you want the Quick Launch to look like, or whether it could be achieved.

Thanks

This is indeed exactly what I mean.

I however found out that if you use the following URL /personal/<yourownaccounthere> You'll get to the same document library, but it somehow keeps showing the quicklaunch from the MySite host...

Hi Red,

There is a div tag with id "sideNavBox" in mysite15.master, which is used to show the quick in pages inherited from this master page(e.g. /personal/<yourownaccounthere>/default.aspx image1 below).

For the pages(e.g. all.aspx page) for libraries "Documents" and "Documents Im following", which overwrite this part with own ContentPlaceHolder "PlaceHolderLeftNavBar", when I use SharePoint Designer to make a copy of all.aspx page for recovery, then remove this content place holder "PlaceHolderLeftNavBar", it will show the same quick launch as default.aspx, e.g. image2 below.

Thanks
