MySite Task not working for migrated mysites

Hi,

We're currently experiencing an issue where the Tasks link doesnt work on migrated mysites. When a user clicks on Task, they get unknown error occured and the correlation ID didnt return alot of details.

"Failed to load mysite. User Profil ID is  not"

We have confirmed the task list loads fine for new accounts or if we delete and recreate the mysite for migrated users. Please advise. Thanks.

Can you run a User profile sync once?

We have been running regular syncs. Will try to drop the sync db, and resync. I've noticed that for the users where the task doesn't work...their Feed service provider defined identifier property in the Profile is empty.

Hi jta1103,

Based on your description, after you migrated users' MySites,  "Tasks" link from quick launch is not working, but it is working for newly created user's mysite.

To aggregate tasks to My sites, we need to set up the task management feature. Id recommend you check the following:

  1. Check if Search service application works well, re-crawl the content source.
  2. Check if User Profile service application works well, re-synchronize user profile
  3. Check if Work Management service application works well. Make sure the Work Management service is started in CA > System settings.
  4. I would suggest you open migrated mysite using SharePoing Designer 2013, see if the AllTasks.aspx page exists, if not, please check if it works with copying one from the newly created user's mysite.
