Multivalued Tables in Oracle Management Agent
Hi Ive written a view which pulls all my data from various tables together and ive also written an associated multivalue view which contains all the instances with each user in which they have more than one value for an attribute… eg: ‘john smith” has his “job_title” as “sales manager” and “parts manager” at the same dealership etc… Ive done this as per this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708679(WS.10).aspx Ive created an Oracle database MA and the view and multi view are configured in it with the primary set correctly as well as an "attribute_name" and "string value". Im just wondering if how to configure the fim MA now that there is multivalue data? is there a particular way the attribute flow needs to be configured either in the synch manager or in the fim portal so the attributes that have multiple values (job_title etc) get synched into the portal properly and then eventually through to the AD??? Will the portal show separate entries for the same user if that user has multiple job_title? Or does it merge the all into one user entry? Are there any docs on this?? Appreciate any response stu

I think it's similar to the SQL multivalue MA config, in which case this should help: http://www.wapshere.com/missmiis/configuration-of-the-sql-mahttp://www.wapshere.com/missmiis

You can find a detailed description on how this scenario is handled from the synchronization perspective in Design Concepts for Managing Reference Attributes. A walkthrough description is available in Synchronizing Active Directory Objects to SQL Server. The required structure is also documented here. For multi-valued attributes, there is no specific or special way to configure the flow. Cheers, Markus Markus Vilcinskas, Knowledge Engineer, Microsoft Corporation
