Multiple issues after reinstalling SCE 2007.
I had a problem so I uninstalled it and moved it to a new server with a new database. I also went to each of my clients here in the building and manually uninstalled the agents as well. Now since my new install I have two issues.1.I am getting alot of critical alerts from the agents. It is a performance monitor alert. WHen I check this error I see the old management group and it also happens with our new management group. How do I correct this? The performance monitor isn't just the one listed below I get for Office 2003 & 2007 applications. In PerfDataSource, could not find counter Process, % Processor Time, EXPLORER* in Snapshot. Unable to submit Performance value. Module will not be unloaded. One or more workflows were affected by this. Workflow name: Microsoft.Windows.XP.Explorer.CPUUtilization.Performance.Monitor Instance name: Microsoft.Windows.XP.Explorer Instance ID: {02A9F4D0-4755-AFB3-78A5-565A12A5CC32} Management group: DATATMW_MG 2. WHen I run the discovery wizzard SCE detects all the computers but only installs to about 1/2 of them. When I check the status under pending management I get told the installation is in progress. I tell it to reject the install and try again but the same thing happens. Any ideas???

Hi Jonathan, For performance counter issue, please install hotfix 951979, this hotfix is applied for SCOM, but is also available for SCE: Problems occur on a management server that is running System Center Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 when certain management packs are installed http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/951979 For second issue, please check the SPN of the problematic client: To check if duplicate SPNs are there or missing, use following query command: ldifde -f C:\*.txt -t 3268 -d dc=domain,dc=com -l serviceprincipalname -r (serviceprincipalname=*) -p subtree In the above command, replace DC=domain,DC=com with the DN of the domain If you find and remove duplicate SPNs, use setspn -D to delete all of the HealthService SPNs. Then, restart OpsMgr Health Service on the management server and let it register its SPNs with the correct logon account. For example: Using the example above, the setspn -D commands would be as follow: setspn -D MSOMHSvc/OPSMGRFA opsmgrfa setspn -D MSOMHSvc/OPSMGRFA.ChildDomainA.ForestA.local opsmgrfa Note you can find setspn.exe from Windows Server 2003 support tools. Hope this helps.
