Multiple issues
I have SCE 2007 SP1 installed on a new server. I had a server running WSUS already and I didn't want to redo all the update approvals so I configured ths SCE server as a downstream replica server. When I did that it deleted the All Clients and All Servers group from the SCE server. After the updates and their approvals all downloaded I reconfigured it so that the SCE server is now not a replica of the original WSUS server. I tried recreating the All Clients and All Servers groups and doubles of them appeared in the console. I also got errors which I will list below.Log Name: Operations ManagerSource: System Center EssentialsDate: 7/21/2008 12:02:03 PMEvent ID: 30201Task Category: NoneLevel: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: SLB-SCE.xxxx.localDescription:The SCE Group identified by 'e05fcdb2-fe77-7f55-74b5-6e4d89487586' could not synchronize to its associated WSUS Group identified by '3ed9b48a-ddd1-40af-a484-aa1bf3e90389' because the SCE Group could not be found. The module will be unloaded. Anyway, after I tried deleting the SQL entries I restarted the health services and still got the errors. I tried recreating the groups and now I have triples of the All Servers and All Clients groups and I'm still getting the errors above. I am also having problems with computers showing up as 'not managed'.Here are some events from the management server:Log Name: Operations ManagerSource: OpsMgr ConnectorDate: 7/21/2008 12:02:53 PMEvent ID: 20000Task Category: NoneLevel: InformationKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: SLB-SCE.xxxx.localDescription:A device which is not part of this management group has attempted to access this Health Service. The discarded items will be regenerated.I am completely lost as to what to do. Please let me know if there's some way to recover from this.

Anyone able to help me out with this or should I just start over from scratch? If I do have to just uninstall SCE and reinstall, is there a way I can move the WSUS updates and database from my current WSUS server to the new SCE server without it deleting the All Clients and All Servers groups that are in SCE by default? I think this is what is causing my problems. I would like to keep my existing approvals and not have to go through the Microsoft updates and approve them manually.

HI,Please try the following steps to restore the three default groups of SCE:1. Open SQL Server Management Studio, then check the MT_DeploymentSettings table in the OperationsManager database. If it has a row where the Name_<Guid> column is All Clients All Computers All Servers, then delete the row and then try to add it back to the Computer section of the console. If it didnt work, try the following step:2. Open SCE console and go to administration-> management packs.3. Find default management pack, microsoft system center essentials default user MP and essentials internal library MP and remove them one by one.4. Then, re-import these MPs (Microsoft.systemcenter.essentials.internal.mp, Microsoft.systemcenter.operationsmanager.defaultuser.xml, Microsoft.systemcenter.essentials.defaultuser.xml ) from %programfiles%\system center esstials 20075. Open WSUS console, remove the All clients and All servers groups.6. Restart the server, Use this tool to restore All Computers group:http://sce.editme.com/files/Menu/LinkAllComputers.exe7. Open SCE server, add the other 2 groups--------------------Regards,Eric Zhang

Thanks for the reply. I don't know if your answer would solve the problem because I had already done an uninstall and am trying to reinstall again. I didn't get a chance to try it before I did that. I'm having a new issue which I'll start a new thread on.

This post is most helpful, it sounds exactly like the scenario I'm dealing with. Only the link to 'LinkAllComputers' seems to have disappeared. Do you know an alternate?
