Wish to install WSS 3.0 on a server with AD. Is this possable? If so are there notes/install instructions anywhere? Thank you in advance.

>Wish to install WSS 3.0 on a server with AD. Yes it is possible. You don't need special installation instructions just follow the Microsoft standard ones. But what do you mean by Multiple instances ? I presume this is connected with the original question which also included SPF 2010. (Something for another set of forums) The answer is that you can have different SharePoint systems that use the same AD but then they can not in addition be on the same server as the AD because you can not have different instances of SharePoint (no matter what SP product they are) running on the same server UNLESS you are running them in VMs. *That* (Server; AD; VMs) would work although I'd then also prefer having also the AD as a VM (and would perhaps use a client Windows system for the PC itself). Thank you for your prompt reply Mike, You answered my question by saying "they can not in addition be on the same server as the AD because you can not have different instances of SharePoint (no matter what SP product they are) running on the same server UNLESS you are running them in VMs." Again thank you for your time and consideration.
