Multiple emails being sent

Hi,

I created a workflow which needs to email a certain user when a status is changed.  However, the user gets the same email 5 times.  Why is this happening and how can I stop it.

Hi Anthea- there could be several reasons for this. I know you're talking about SP 2010, but the following links should help you regardless. You may need to update your server version, put a flag on your workflow to stop it when it reaches the end, or you have a step which makes a change to an item, thus triggering the workflow again. It could also be that you're using a workflow from an older SP Designer version, and that's causing the workflow to be triggered in both versions.
