Multiple connection groups with same App-V package?

Hi,

I 'd need to make a new connection group (Office 2013 AppV package with proofing tools App-V package) to test if name changes of App-V packages will affect working of the App-V package.

I can use the same App-V package in mutiple connection groups, right? Reason why I ask is that I remember vaguely I read somewhere you could with an App-V management server but not with sccm 2012 (but not sure about that).

Please advise.

Jan,

Your thinking is absolutely correct. With full infra you can add an app in to different connection groups and assign priorities. With Virtual Environments the application can only be a member of one.

Thanks! Then my next concern would be how to update the App-V package (Office) without impacting user to much.
Then I have no option but adding an extra deployment type in the App-V Office 2013 and increase its priority. Hopefully the clients will get the new App-V package once they reboot their machine(?)

Test lab best bet. Test it out and see what happens in this instance.
