Multiple Upload doesn't work
I'm running MOSS 07 and I'm trying to use "multiple upload" for big quantities of files. I changed the size limit for that web-application with stsadm -o setproperty -propertyname max-file-post-size -propertyvalue 2047 -url http://...(I even get the right confirmation using the getproperty attribute) I changed the timeout values to 720 in the web.config (in the Virtual directory and in the /12/... -tree) - beside the fact that I'm uploading internally and the uploadtime is not critical at all. If I try to upload multiple files, the dialog to choose multiple files from the directory tree shows up, I select the files and start the uploading. Then first I get the confirmation on the amount of files I want to upload and than the upload seems to get started; file after file is apparently beeing uploaded. Once finished, the folder you uploaded to shows up, but with nothing in it... If I choose less files (<approx 30MB) it works, so it seems to be related to a size limit... This is really frustrating, as I'm following exactly the hints I found on the Internet like http://www.msexperts.org/blogs/mark/archive/2008/10/23/increasing-the-maximum-upload-limit-on-a-sharepoint-site.aspx Martin

Hi Martin, I am experiencing exactly the same issue. Have you had any luck diagnosing it? I should also mention that if I upload the same files using Explorer View, it works without issue. Mark

I'm running MOSS 07 and I'm trying to use "multiple upload" for big quantities of files. I changed the size limit for that web-application with May be my survey will help you. Original Link is http://www.virtosoftware.com/wikis/virto-sharepoint-file-uploader/uploading-large-files.aspx By default SharePoint allows a maximum file size of 50MB that can be uploaded into any document library. This might be too much as you might not want users downloading 50MB files over your LAN/WAN. To change the maximum file size. 1. Go to SharePoint “Central Administration - Configure Virtual Server Settings from Virtual Server List Page”. 2. Select your server. 3. Go to “Virtual Server General Settings” (in “Virtual Server Management” block). 4. Change the value of the Maximum Upload Size in MB's. If you increase the file size limit, your site might occasionally time out for users while they are uploading files. To accommodate this increase the default time out property for IIS. If you receive error message when you try to upload a large file to a document library, use information from this link to resolve the problem http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/925083?p=1. You can receive error "The page cannot be displayed “on IIS 7.0 installations. In this case use the following link http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/925083?p=1 . Also I can offer to use custom multiple file uploader it should solve all your problem
