Multilanguage in custom site columns of a List

Hey Guys,

because of the information flood I can't find the solution for my problem...

There are so many different ways and situations, but I can't find a clear answer.

My issue: I have created a content type with different custom site columns. The content type inherits from Tasks.

So I have additional task fields (columns) in my List. For Example "Goal".

How can I translate this column in different languages, by using my own translation words?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to customize  Multilingual site columns of a List.

We can create Multilingual SharePoint Site Columns  from Visual studio 2012/2013 programmatically.

The following steps for your reference:

1.Configure Language Settings

2.Using Visual Studio 2012/2013  create Package for Site Column Localization
 1) Empty SharePoint Project Template
 2) Resource File
 3) Empty Element File

3.Verify the Deployment

Hi Dennis,

thanks for your reply. Yes, I want to customize Multilangual site columns of a List.

Maybe I've posted it in the wrong section.

We work with sharepoint 2013 in O365.

I tried to make an "Empy Sharepoint 2013 Project", but then a popup comes, whichs says that I should have sharepoint installed locally. This is not possible in o365 :)

Am I making something wrong or is there an other way to make this in O365?

Thanks!
