Multi Domain Farm Architecture
There are 2 remote offices in 2 domains. SP and SQL servers now are only in office A, people from office B connect to SharePoint FrontEnd thru vpn. Office A uses the own web site A Office B uses the own web site B Offices A & B use shared web site C I want to solve speed, stability and security issues by deploying 2 additional servers into office B infrastructure: SPFE & SQL tranfer content base of web site B to SQL B delete web application B in SPFE A graft SPFE B into farm re-create web application B in SPFE B (attach db) Additional: there are no connections between SQL A<>B servers (as SQL A in fact is located in secure domain A1) there is a connection between SPFE A<>B So the questions are: Should i even mess with injecting SPFE B into farm? May be the best approach is to keep them totally separated? Crisis moments. What will happen when VPN between A<>B offices will be down? Will site A and B be available to corresponding users? Wont the whole farm go down in both offices? What are the bonuses of farm way anyway?

I apologise for the moving to and from of this post by two Moderators here. It's clear that - like many non-Moderators - Porter Wang is not really aware of the word "Accessibility" in Microsoft speak which refers to making things accessible to what in politically correct terms are known as the "physically challenged". Because this is unclear to many, I long ago posted a sticky post to that forum which appears at the top of the first page saying exactly that (= that it is only for the problems of ensuring access for the physically challenged). I have ensured that ALL the threads which are in that forum are about just those accessibility questions and nothing else. Look for yourself! Meanwhile I hope that the Admin forum is a better fit than the Programming forum you originally posted it to.
