Is it possible to use the keyboard to move multiple report objects in SSRS 2008? example, move multiple text boxes up or down. I've tried ctrl + arrow key but it only seems to work with single items. I don't want to move multiple items with the mouse because it throws off the exact left positioning because I can't keep the mouse steady to move that precise.

You can select multiple items with the Ctrl key, and then move them with the arrow or Ctrl-Arrow keys for finer movement. I've never had a problem moving multiple items around on the canvas... Are there isnt' an issue with the machine you are using, have you tried on another machine ?

Hi Clu82, Yes, we can select multiple report items and then press the Ctrl + arrow to move them. I realized my issue; when I multiselected textboxes that were in a rectangle in a table row the rectangle was already selected and therefore the items wouldn't move using the keyboard. After I selected the tectboxes by using the ctrl + clicking on each one then the rectangle was not selected and I could move all of them using the keyboard ctrl + arrow keys. Thanks for your help.

what about moving a rectangle that has report items in it, using the properties page. i can move the rectangle along with it's contained items using the mouse or arrow keys, but if i select the rectangle and change the Top or Left settings in the Properties page, the rectangle moves but not the items. any ideas? using 2008R2 Std.
