Moving SharePoint 2003 DBs to a new box AND downgrading from SQL 2005 EE to SQL 2005 SE
I have a situation and have not been able to find an answer anywhere. Long story short, a division of our company was sold. Having said that, we need to split our SharePoint environment. This will involve moving SharePoint databases to a new server. On the original server we are running SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition. On the the box we are moving the SharePoint databases to, we want to run SQL Server 2005 Standard Editiion. Can this be done? Can you move SharePoint databases to a NEW box and downgrade from SQL 2005 EE to SQL 2005 SE?thank you very much!

Cornelius...you're link pertains to SharePoint 2007. My question was regarding SharePoint 2003. Would those instructions still apply? Reading through them briefly, it seems as if they would. Just want to make sure.Thank you very much.
