Hi, we need to move sites from one MOSS2007 Farm to another MOSS 2007 Farm (same Service Pack and Hotfix versions , and same SQL version and SP etc too). We need to move not only the content but also any current and historic workflows (and these will be a mixture of the std Approval, Collect Feedback, Collect Signatures, etc and also some created with SharePoint Designer. We also need to move permissions, and version history. We have a choice of using a commercial 'cost' option, or the STSADM export/import routines. I have downloaded the demo/trial of the Xavor SharePoint Migrator and was not impressed when it didnt migrate granular permissions on folders in libraries. I have also tried the 'free' option of the STSADM export/import; but found that this did not migrate over any completed workflows, nor did it migrate the actual workflow itself (either standard/out of the box or Designer created). Now, I understand all about GUID's etc, but cant see why the issues I have highlighted cannot be 'fixed' in some way? Thats my question, does anyone know of a GOOD content migrator which will 'move' the WHOLE site (permissions, workflows, versions, etc) over to a new Farm? thanks for any help... regards.. Phil

Hey Cornelius, thanks for your prompt answer. I will take a look at their site now. We cant use the detach/attach method as there is an underlying corruption/bug in the content DB that Microsoft cannot fix, this is why we need to move 'items' over to a new WORKING Farm.
