Move Monitoring to New Server
Hello, Create a new group, and apply your override directly to the group and not on the server itself. Like this, you just have to populate the group with the server.Christopher Keyaert - My OpsMgr/SCOM blog : http://www.vnext.be

Hi Kate To some extent OpsMgr will automate the basics - once you install an Agent on Server B, the application management packs will be automatically do this via the relevant discoveries. But if you are looking for real detail - same overrides etc, then there is no easy way to do this although the group solution proposed by Chris is a possible (albit there is no automatic - make server B a member of all the groups server A is a member of). Even the Resource Kit tools like "Effective Configuration Viewer" don't actually return Effective configuration with respect to override values (thresholds) and the Silect Software Agent Explorer doesn't give full details either. Is there an easy way to move the monitoring that is done on one server to another? Can I easily get a configuration dump so that when the application team builds a new server and needs us to move what we have been monitoring on serverA to serverB, we can ensure all is updated? Thanks, Kate
