Move Database to SQL Cluster

For a few days Ive been trying to move ConfMgr Database from local SQL installation to a SQL cluster. Both SQLs are 2012 SP2.

I fallow these steps with no problem - http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2013/04/02/how-to-move-the-configmgr-2012-site-database-to-a-new-sql-server.aspx

..but when I try to perform site maintnance -> Modify SQL Server configuration, I end up with failure if SQL connection with "The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted". There is a forum there beneath the article where user named Patric advices to export certificate from Site Server and import it to SQL server, I do exactly what he tells, but still I end up with the same error.

Any advice, hints, experience of this? If I need to move other certificates, step-by-step would be helpfull what to do....

It's the SQL cert that has to be exported and imported. Which "forum there beneath the article" are you talking about and what have you done exactly? Also examine that imported cert on the cluster. Does it show up a

I have a solution on the Certificate / Trusted problem.

go to the SCCM server open run and typ "MMC"

in that console open file and add snappin.

ADD certificate. in that wizard:

"service account" next

Local computer Next

find SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_SERVER finish

go to STS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER\trusted pepole

and take the domain certificate there an right click. all task> Export.

copy the CRT file to the new SQL server and import that to local computer > trusted pepole.

Hi,

There is a blog talks about moving Configuration Manager database and the certificate issue.

You could have a look on the Check the SQL Instance Certificate the Real Admins Way part.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but Im trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) as they can work with you to solve this problem.

No, I gave up on this. I decided to wait for another ConfMgr release to build it from scratch and setup it to remote SQL during installation.
