Mouse Click issue on Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (SPS 2003)
Hi All, We are having a share point 2003 portal. It uses lot of CSS. In my Internet explorer 8 whenever i click a hyperlink <a href=''> it just flickers in the progress bar and no redirect happens. I need to click several times to make the redirect. It also applicable to normal Share Point links like "EditPage", "View Page", etc. Many of my customers are also facing the same issue with IE7 & IE8. I don't see any problem with Mozilla or Chrome or Safari. What would be the issue? Thank you. Kathir

Hi Kathir, Add the site URL in trusted sites zone and then check. To add it in trusted sites go to Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites hthWarm Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant | http://sharepointpratik.blogspot.com/

Hi Pratik, I have tried that already. No luck. Still the same issue. The status bar just flicks the click event but the actual click event does not fire. I need to click multiple times on the Menu or a hyperlink to navigate to that page. Very annoying isssue.Kathir

Hi, Scripting and Active-x is enabled in IE. What i notice from my analysis is the browser status bar just loads quickly but nothing happens. (I mean the actual redirection). Thanks.Kathir

Hi karurkathir, Did this only occur when you click hyperlinks in your SharePoint site? How about try a site outside SharePoint site? I think it maybe some problem existing in IE. Please run SharePoint site in All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > IE (no Add-ons), how it works? Also clear browsing history in IE and reset Advanced Tab and Security Tab, and try again. So that better suggestions could be provided, I suggest you to give a new thread in Internet Explorer forum. Best regards, Emir
