Moss 2007: Very low privileges after created subsite
Hello Guys, I have a big problem that I haven't figured out yet. My problem is that I create a subsite(publishing). After that I go to the default.aspx in the pages list. If I there try to use the actionmenu I get like 3 options, no delete, view properties etc. If I choose Version history I get an Access denied. I get that with all users, from site collection administrator > lower. Doesn't matter if I set unique privileges all the from creating the subsite to new pages. Always access denied. Even pages that my own user has created I cannot edit. I think it can be this problem -> http://odole.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/access-denied-error-message-while-editing-properties-of-any-document-in-a-moss-document-library/ But I'm not sure. We are using an old version of sharepoint :( It's a big enviroment so we can't just push out new fixes etc when we want. Version in CA is: 12.0.0.6324 Any tip is appreciated feels like I have tested everything. Regards Robert

When you created the sub-site, did you set it to inherit permissions ? Are your access problems when accessing the sub-site or the original site ? (The Title of the post could mean the latter in case you think this is an odd question). FAQ sites: (SP 2010) http://wssv4faq.mindsharp.com; (v3) http://wssv3faq.mindsharp.com and (WSS 2.0) http://wssv2faq.mindsharp.com Complete Book Lists (incl. foreign language) on each site.

I have tried both using inherit and using unique. Same low permissions. And I mean the newly created sub-site. The original site and other older sub-sites that were created like in 2009-03-xx works like they should. //Robert

Figured it out now.. I was the problem I suspected. You need to add the attribute RenderXMLUsingPattern="TRUE" to field PermMask. //Robert
