Monitoring issues with windows 2008 R2 systems using MOM 2005
Currently MOM 2005 SP1 is configured in MOM 2005 environment.
As per microsoft Article MOM 2005 SP1 is unable to monitor windows 2008 R2 systems.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953140 .
We have done some changes in MOM environment to scan & monitor windows 2008 R2 servers.
The windows 2008 R2 servers are getting scanned but alerts are not getting generated for the alerts.
Can any one help on this issue?

You would have to write your own management pack - no other workaround (short of installing Operations Manager 2007). Microsoft does not support monitoring Windows 2008 R2 from MOM 2005.

Although Microsoft still supports MOM 2005 SP1, most of the sites and articles regarding authoring now refer only to Operations Manager 2007.
If you can't find anything that will help in the product documentation available at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/systemcenter/om/bb498230.aspx, you could check one of the books written for MOM 2005. I believe there are 5 still listed on Amazon.com.
You may also want to check the MOM 2005 Resource Kit, which includes a Management Pack Wizard. See
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/systemcenter/om/bb498240.aspx for on the reskit and a download link.
