Monitoring SSL certificates with SCOM and PS
Hi, I have been working with SCOM from quite some time now and one thing that I felt was missing was the ability to monitor certificates remotly and easily. Recently I had a customer requesting this feature. So I ended up writing a PS script and a management
pack inorder to remotly monitor certificate status. But at the same time, I would appreciate if anyone else has better ideas using build in features like synthetic transactions or URL monitoring. The main difference I guess is that using our solution, we get
alerts prior to problems. We can also add monitoring just by adding an ip, or hostname and port without running through wizards, Simple as that. Besides this we can extend the solution as we want and are not locked by the monitor. I have posted the solution
at

Please do let me know if you have any comments and thoughts on how thing can be done better. Using my solution, my customers are able to monitor Netscaller, SSL sites, Swithces, routers and anything else without requireing to install SCOM agent on the monitored
object.

Hi,
I think you can try creating web application monitor and see if it can meet your requirements:
